We live in an age where we have to deal with more information that we can realistically process. We bookmark articles and save things for later, but the list often becomes a graveyard for things that will never get revisited or simply is lost amongst the noise. To navigate that influx productively, you need a system that goes beyond capture and retrieval.

Many note-taking frameworks promise a "one size fits all" system, but they often fall short over time. They're either too opinionated to adapt or too generic to offer meaningful guidance. In my experience, you eventually reach a point where your needs outgrow the framework. When that time comes, starting over with a new system can feel like the only option.
