Course overview
This isn’t just another no-code tutorial. We all know moms have no tolerance for BS, especially moms of teenagers. MIT MOM Ruins Vibe Coding is a weekend bootcamp designed to help you cut through the hype and BS around AI-generated apps and platforms. You’ll go hands-on with the top tools, see where they shine (and where they fail), and build your own mini project to test what's real.
Whether you’re a busy professional, side hustler, or just AI-curious, this crash course gives you the clarity to decide: Should you go all in on vibe coding—or walk away smarter than most?
Expect demos, break-it-to-learn-it moments, 1:1 help, and zero fluff. You’ll leave knowing what these tools can really do—and whether they’re right for you.
01
Busy professionals who keep hearing about AI app tools but don’t have time to chase hype.
02
Tech-adjacent folks (marketing, ops, content) who want to build something—but don’t code and aren’t sure where to start.
03
Side hustlers and freelancers curious if vibe coding can actually lead to usable apps—or money.
04
Overstimulated skeptics who’ve tried ChatGPT for everything and are wondering if there’s anything it can really build.
05
Anyone with AI FOMO and no patience for sugar-coated tutorials, hustle culture, or "just vibe it" nonsense.
A working internet connection and at least one functional browser tab NOT behind a secured IP. If you can't play, this won't be fun.
A curiosity about AI app tools—and a willingness to let go of the dream that you too will vibe-code a startup and get acquired for $30M.
Discover what “vibe coding” really means—and what it doesn’t.
Identify where AI app builders break—and why that matters for you.
Spot the hidden traps they don’t tell you when selling the no-code dream.
Learn which use cases actually work—and where real value can be built.
Get a clear-eyed view of the future: what’s coming in weeks, months, and next updates.

Yuying Chen-Wynn is the former Head of AI at PEAK6, where she led everything Generative AI across buy, build, invest, and risk manage for a multi-billion-dollar family of companies. Before that, she was Chief Product Officer at Barnes & Noble Education and has spent over 20 years building products—13 of those building AI products in the wild across Big Tech, FinTech, and EdTech.
She’s been deep in the GenAI trenches long before it was trendy—painfully hacking together real products while the tools themselves were still duct-taped together. Her career started in computer vision, back when AI was barely pronounceable, after she accidentally got into MIT just trying to get to Boston (true story).
Yuying is obsessed with cutting through the noise. She co-hosts the no-BS “AI After Hours” podcast with Polly Allen, where they call out hype, hallucinations, and questionable AI optimism. She also writes a sharp, irreverent newsletter on Substack that filters out AI marketing fluff and gets to the signal.
With Yuying leading this bootcamp, you’re not getting theory. You’re getting real-world experience, war stories, live demos, and that honest moment you probably need: "Can I actually build something with this?"
