<h3>Why I enrolled</h3>
<p class="p2-tall">I come from an academic background - I got my Ph.D. in political science, and then moved into startup world where I founded a couple of data analytics functions. I've found that one of my biggest weaknesses is communicating with business leaders about my work, since I come from a background where the style of communication is very different - both in tone and substance.<br><br>My goal for this course is to understand the difference between my natural communication style and what is most effective when working with business leaders. I'd like to be be in a position to make a conscious choice about how I communicate rather than defaulting to what is comfortable.</p>

<h3>What I’ll apply</h3>
<p class="p2-tall">I just had to ask my principal for a decision, but rather than just asking the question, I gave them my <em>recommendation</em>! I feel like I'm already putting elements of this course into practice. Also, my principal loved my end-of-week update Slack message based on Pier's template!</p>
