<h3>Why I enrolled</h3>
My primary goal for this course is to develop practical fluency in agentic AI and workflow automation so I can become a more effective People Operations leader in increasingly AI-enabled organizations. Specifically, I hope to: • Build a foundational understanding of agentic AI, including how AI agents can be designed, deployed, and managed to automate repetitive work and augment human decision-making. • Identify opportunities within People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and organizational development where AI agents can improve efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and create more scalable processes. • Learn to design and implement simple AI-powered workflows that support recruiting, onboarding, manager enablement, employee communications, reporting, and knowledge management. • Develop the ability to evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies from a strategic leadership perspective, enabling me to make informed decisions as organizations increasingly integrate AI into day-to-day operations. • Strengthen my readiness for future Director-level People leadership roles, particularly within startups and growth-stage organizations where leveraging technology and automation can create significant operational advantages.



<h3>What I’ll apply</h3>
I'm most excited to put the Deconstruct → Design → Build discipline into practice beyond this course — specifically, separating triggers from deliverables and building in a human gate before anything consequential happens. I used it to build an Opportunity Vetting agent for my own job search, and I want to bring that same thinking into People Ops processes like onboarding and performance cycles, where a lot of the work is repetitive but a few steps really need judgment. Next up: applying it to a Slack community intelligence workflow and a newsletter briefing system, so I'm designing my own information diet instead of just reacting to it.
