Transitioning into UX for Healthcare

<h3>Why I enrolled</h3>
<p class="p2-tall">In no particular order, I’d said the main goals are these:</p><ul class="list-disc ml-8"><li><p class="p2-tall">CONTEXT: Understand the context (and particularly constraints) and how that prevents good design but also creates opportunities for good design, and how to design for HIPPA</p></li><li><p class="p2-tall">PROTOTYPING AND AI: How to quickly prototype and conduct research and what proof for a hypothesis might look like, how to use AI effectively and ethically&nbsp;</p></li><li><p class="p2-tall">CAREER TRANSITIONS: How to position myself as a strong candidate especially around inclusive design, and what roles are there (including accessibility roles)</p></li><li><p class="p2-tall">IMPLEMENTATION: What a potential pilot for healthcare product or service might look like, and paths to scale out something</p></li></ul>

    <h3>A breakthrough moment</h3><p class="p2-tall">Realizing that compliance considerations (HIPAA, WCAG, and other healthcare regulations) affect a lot of what we want to do in healthcare, and that there's opportunity for us to help figure out how to design with constraints. While AI is a powerful tool to use (prototyping with Lovable etc.), I think we're going to require more people to navigate both the formal compliance (HIPPA) but also when our legal constraints remove safeguards (i.e. discussion on how the ADA is being systematically dismantled).</p>

<h3>What I’ll apply</h3>
<p class="p2-tall">I think a lot of this is about how to not be intimidated by constraints around compliance, or even the challenges of having so much rich data to display in our apps. Having those constraints can help you become a stronger designer and I'm excited to think through next steps around prototyping, and even the idea of how you might launch the prototypes we worked on.</p>
