I've spent over a decade in UX research and design leadership, led the UX function at ustwo Sydney, Design Lead at the ABC, Design Manager at Dovetail. I've run hundreds of research sessions across startups, agencies, and corporates, and taught UX at General Assembly and Academy Xi.

When AI arrived, I saw the same pattern: researchers leaning on AI summarisation and losing the thinking skills that made them valuable. So I built a practical notation system and started teaching it. I recently ran this for a 45-person design team at a major bank. They applied the methods in their very next sessions.
