Rohit Turumella will show you when product isn't the answer
I’ve spent my career building products across very different industries: fintech at Braintree, grocery and marketplaces at Instacart, and more recently AI SaaS on my own. The industries changed, but the same lesson kept coming up: the hardest product problems usually aren’t just product problems.
A great product can still fail because customers can’t adopt it, Sales can’t sell it, the incentives are wrong, or the economics don’t work. I started as an engineer, spent time in early-stage VC, and later built my own SaaS product end to end. That shaped how I think about product leadership: sometimes the answer is product. Sometimes it’s something else. The job is knowing the difference.
