You've received a research proposal or you're evaluating a vendor, a platform, or an agency pitch. The deck looks polished. The methodology sounds reasonable. The price seems within range. But you don't have the expertise to know if what's being proposed will actually deliver what you need, and you're about to hand over a meaningful chunk of budget based largely on instinct and a good sales conversation.

That's a vulnerable position to be in.

Research proposals are written to sell, not to educate. The methodology section can sound rigorous without actually being right for your business question. Sample sizes can look impressive without being meaningful. Timelines can seem fast without accounting for what gets sacrificed to hit them. And platforms that promise AI-powered insights at a fraction of the cost don't always tell you what you're giving up to get there.

This session gives you an expert gut check before you sign anything.

In 60 minutes, I'll review the proposal(s) or vendor(s) you're evaluating and give you honest, experienced feedback on whether what's being proposed is the right fit for your needs, your budget, and your timeline. I'll help you understand what questions to ask, what red flags to watch for, and whether the approach is genuinely set up to deliver insights you can act on.

What we'll cover:

We'll start with your business question and what you're hoping the research will help you decide. From there we'll work through the proposal or vendor together, looking at whether the methodology is appropriate for your objectives, whether the sample and scope make sense, whether the timeline is realistic, and whether the price reflects the value you'll actually receive. We'll also talk through the right questions to ask the vendor before you commit and what a strong versus weak proposal actually looks like.

This session is right for you if:

  • You're a startup or lean team that has received a research proposal and wants a senior expert to review it before you sign

  • You're a marketing agency evaluating a research platform or vendor on behalf of a client and want to make sure you're recommending the right partner

  • You're comparing multiple proposals and need help understanding the real differences between what's being offered

  • You've been burned by a research vendor before and want to make sure you're making a smarter decision this time

  • You want to feel confident that the partner you choose is genuinely set up to deliver what your business needs

What you'll walk away with:

  • An honest assessment of whether the proposal or vendor is the right fit for your needs

  • Specific questions to ask before you commit

  • Clear red flags to watch for and green lights to look for

  • Confidence that you're making an informed, smart decision with your budget

  • A clear picture of what ongoing support could look like if you need it

Choosing the wrong research partner doesn't just waste money. It wastes time, creates misalignment, and can lead your team to make decisions based on findings that were never set up to be reliable. This session is how you avoid that.

Before we meet: To get the most out of our time together, please send the proposal, vendor information, or any relevant materials to hello@remarkablemr.com at least 24 hours before your scheduled session. The more context you can share about your business question and what you're hoping the research will help you decide, the more focused and useful our conversation will be.

Need an NDA? If you'd feel more comfortable signing a confidentiality agreement before we talk, just let me know at hello@remarkablemr.com and I'll take care of it before our call. Confidentiality is something I take seriously and I want you to feel comfortable sharing openly from the very first conversation.
