Enabling teams to efficiently work with data and communicate with impact
This guide is intended to help people prepare for in-person and synchronous online workshops. It is written for business development and marketing professionals who work with data in Excel and PowerPoint and want to start using Python. No programming experience is needed, and you do not need to be comfortable with the command line yet---every command is shown, with what you should see when it works.
By the end of this guide your Windows PC will have:
Python 3.14, installed and managed with the Python install manager (the py command)
An isolated project environment (a "virtual environment") for your packages
Polars and Plotnine installed for data analysis and visualization
JupyterLab running, so you can write and run code in your browser
