This Meeting Could Never Be an Email

A coach and facilitator, Lauren works with individuals and groups to strengthen communication, elevate leadership, and build authentic presence. As a lead facilitator at Sidebar, she runs groups for hundreds of professionals, from managers to the C-suite, and leads workshops and team sessions for organizations from Fintech to non-profit.

Her approach moves through three stages: uncovering mindset patterns and blocks, shaping powerful and meaningful content, and refining delivery. Whether working with a room or one-on-one, the outcome is the same: clear, impactful communication and a confident, authentic presence.

I have spent the last 15+ years designing rooms where people learn: first as a classroom teacher, then as a school leader in San Francisco, and then at Shopify, where I co-designed leadership programming that scaled to 300+ leaders.

Today I'm the facilitation lead at Sidebar, where I design and facilitate peer leadership Circles. I've been in the room with hundreds of senior and executive leaders, led the facilitation team, and built the turnkey program architecture that has supported 1,200+ leaders.

I believe the room is where leadership actually shows up, and that most managers were handed a meeting no one taught them to design. My teaching style is experiential: we won't talk about facilitation, we'll do it, then pull back the curtain so you leave with the structure in hand.
