Portfolio Breakdown: Design Systems, Storytelling & Craft

With over 13 years in Product Design and Design Systems, I've worked at companies like Deel, Stripe and Agoda, building design systems and helping shape design teams.

When rebuilding my own portfolio, I became increasingly intentional about everything from the case studies I chose to the small details that make a portfolio feel considered, as well as the projects and details I had to leave out.

It's been a process of continuous refinement, and a reminder that good work is only part of the story, how you present it matters, too.

I'm Justine, a Product Designer with 10 years of experience, working in Product design and Design Systems, including roles at Stripe and Preply.

Throughout my career, I've worked on complex design challenges, interviewed designers, and experienced the hiring process from both sides.

One thing I've learned is that doing great work isn't always enough. How you communicate your thinking, decisions and impact matters just as much and sometimes more.

I founded Storyline Design to help designers recognise the value in their experience, tell stronger stories, and position themselves for the roles they want next.
