Why this topic matters

AI is changing how products are designed, but good UX judgment still matters. PMs are expected to evaluate AI generated designs, catch usability issues early, balance speed with clarity, and explain design decisions to partners. This lesson gives you a practical framework to do that without becoming a designer or blindly trusting AI.

Product Leader | ex-Amazon, Smartsheet, Microsoft

I’m a product leader with over 10 years of experience building and shipping products across SaaS and consumer tech at Amazon Twitch, SurveyMonkey, Microsoft, and most recently as Director of Product at Smartsheet, where I led teams reimagining creation and onboarding experiences.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with designers and engineers to improve usability, drive growth, and make complex products easier to use. I also write on Substack, where I publish practical UX critiques, product strategy breakdowns, and hands on AI tutorials based on real product work and coaching conversations.

As a PM coach, I help PMs develop stronger product judgment, communicate more clearly about design, and navigate how AI is changing day to day product work. I’m teaching this lesson because I see many PMs struggling to evaluate design quality and AI generated outputs with confidence. In this course, students learn practical frameworks and work through real examples so they can apply these skills immediately in their own products.
