What you'll learn

Turn your idea into a working app

Describe what you want in plain English and build a functioning app in Replit.

Make it look and work the way you want

Change the design, fix what breaks, and add features without getting lost in the code.

Put it on the internet for real

Deploy your app to a live URL you can share with anyone, and keep it running after class ends.

Why this topic matters

Most people have an idea for an app, but don't have the skills to actually build it. With AI, the game has changed. People with absolutely no coding experience at all can now build and ship apps without writing a single line of code. By the end of the session, you will learn how to build and deploy an app or website by prompting an agent on Replit.

Amish Suchak

Built and deployed Percruit, a $2M+ valued app using Replit and Claude Code.

I'm the founder of Percruit, an AI-powered career platform used by coding bootcamps and universities, which I built and deployed myself by prompting rather than writing code. It now serves thousands of students. I've spent years building AI systems in healthcare and teaching AI at MIT xPRO, AI4ALL, and TripleTen, and I run the Professor Patterns YouTube channel where 11,000+ people follow my work on AI tools and agents.

Brandon Middleton

18 years in tech at AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, and Stanford. Berkeley MBA.

I'm a technologist, musician, and educator based in Silicon Valley. Over the past 18 years I've worked at Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Cisco Systems, Slalom Consulting, and Stanford University, helping customers and partners transform their businesses with cloud computing, AI, and mobile technologies.

I originally hail from the south side of the south side of Chicago and headed West in 2005. I got a lot of helping hands growing up, so I stay involved in K-12 education and my communities in Chicago and the Bay Area, including board roles with the Silicon Valley Education Foundation, ALearn, and College Track. I hold an M.B.A. from UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (I-L-L).

Outside of work you'll find me teaching, traveling, eating great food, playing basketball and soccer, playing music with my band, or hanging out with my wife and three kids.
