Course overview

There is a secret sauce to clear, concise, and compelling communication

This 4-week course strengthens your professional communication skills through practical tools and proven techniques —whether you're writing emails, leading meetings, or navigating tough conversations. If you’ve been told to speak up more, be more concise, or find yourself dreading on-the-spot questions, this course is for you. You’ll walk away with simple, repeatable frameworks and real-world practice to make these skills second nature.

Each week, you'll get:

• 90 minutes of live instruction (plus replays)

• Hands-on practice with real workplace scenarios

• Weekly challenges to apply the learning

• Optional office hours for personalized feedback

You’ll learn practical tools that you can use right away to:

• Turn your ideas into clear, structured messages that get results

• Feel confident speaking up in meetings (yes, even those unexpected questions!)

• Write emails that people actually read and respond to

• Speak up and push back with clarity and respect

• Influence across teams and levels

We will review frameworks and best practices to improve both WHAT you say and HOW you say it. We will apply these concepts to written communication (emails, Slacks, business updates) and verbal (meetings, presentations, ad hoc conversations). *Note: this is not a doc writing course, but you can apply all of the frameworks to your doc!

Myra is the founder of the Leadership Lab and spent 17 years at Amazon & Gap

Myra is the founder of the Leadership Lab, providing workshops, trainings, and 1:1 coaching to companies and individuals. A core focus of the Leadership Lab is Communication Skills. Myra believes if you had to invest in one skill to drive your career forward, it would be communication.

Myra has over 17 years of experience in marketing, content strategy, product launches, and learning & development at Amazon and the Gap. Specifically, Myra gleans insights from her 10+ years at Amazon

where she led high-performing teams through ambiguous and

ever-evolving circumstances, hired, performance-managed,

promoted, and coached hundreds of professionals as a manager

and an interview bar raiser, wrote and presented hundreds of docs, and taught thousands on how to write

better, communicate more effectively, and influence without

authority.

When she realized her Amazon org needed more hands-on training to write better docs and influence more effectively, she stood up a L&D team to do just that. Her approach is rooted in cutting the fluff and providing

practical, easy-to-implement ways to apply learning and see

noticeable results. The employee demand and satisfaction spoke to

the effectiveness of this approach. She is excited to now bring this to

more people and organizations!
