A different kind of coaching

Relational Practice Coaching isn’t about fixing you or making you more productive. It’s a space to examine what’s happening, understand what’s underneath it, and decide how you want to respond.

Together, we’ll consider three things:

NOTICE - What’s really happening? Slow down. Notice the tension, assumptions, relationships, and values involved.

EXAMINE - What’s underneath it? Explore what is yours, what exists between people, and what may belong to the larger system.

PRACTICE - What do you want to do with what you now see? Choose something to try, change, ask, notice, stop, or approach differently.

🗝️ Reflection becomes practice. Practice gives you something new to notice.

Is this for me?

Relational Practice Coaching is currently designed for educators and mission-driven professionals who care not only about what they accomplish, but how they practice while doing it.

You might be a teacher, faculty member, librarian, learning professional, nonprofit leader, administrator, community-engagement professional, founder, or someone doing values-driven work inside a complicated organization.

Your job title matters less than the question you’re carrying.

I'd Love to Work With You

I’m Megan Zara, founder of The Open Practice Academy and a PhD student in Leadership and Change at Antioch University. My background spans education, libraries, open education, learning design, faculty development, professional learning, community engagement, and organizational change.

Across all of that work, I keep returning to one question:

How do the values we say matter become visible in the way we actually practice?

That’s the question at the heart of Relational Practice Coaching.
