If you've typed the same long prompt three times this month, it should be a skill: a file Claude runs the same way every time.

What's inside:

  • SKILL.md: a documented template with every section a good skill needs. When to run it and when not to, the context files it reads, the steps, the output, what good looks like, and the mistakes to avoid.

  • /skill-reviewer: scores a skill on eight checks and lists what to fix before you rely on it.

  • /steal: point it at a repo, an article or someone else's framework. It gives you a verdict on what's worth taking, checks the licence, and rewrites the useful part in your own words as a skill.

  • A GitHub check that runs on every push and fails if a skill is missing its name or description.

How to use it: click "Use this template" on GitHub, or install it as a plugin in Claude Code to get /skill-reviewer and /steal straight away.

For marketers who've used Claude Code for a few weeks and keep repeating themselves.

Start with the four steps in the README. Week 3 of Marketing Engineering University chains your skills behind an agent and a quality check.

Turn the prompts you retype every week into skills, then grade them and adapt other people's frameworks.
