Private AI Lessons (1:1 - Hourly)

Some things are just faster to learn from a person. You have a question that has been in your way for three weeks, and what you actually want is an hour with somebody who can answer it properly, at the speed you learn at rather than the speed a syllabus moves.

That is what this is. You bring a topic, I explain it, and we go at whatever pace suits you. If you want to stop and ask why something works four times in a row, that is a very good use of the hour.

One hour on Zoom, just the two of us, and recorded so you can go back over the fiddly parts.

We can spend it however helps you most. Some people want me to explain how a thing really works underneath, some would rather watch me do something and ask questions while I do it, and some arrive with a list of twelve things they have been collecting for a month. All three of those are a good hour, and you really do not have to work out which kind of person you are before we start.

Topics people usually bring.

1. How coding agents actually work, and why they do some of the strange things they do. Claude Code, Codex, or whichever one you have landed on

2. Open source and local models. What Kimi and the rest can genuinely do, what they cannot, and whether running one on your own hardware is worth the trouble for you

3. Prompting properly, past the tricks

4. Context files, instructions files, skills and commands, and which one you are supposed to use when

5. MCP explained in plain English, and whether you even need it

6. n8n, and where plain automation sits next to an agent

7. Agents, what they really are underneath, and why a lot of what you read about them is oversold

8. I read this thing and did not follow it, can we go through it together

Buy one class or buy several, whichever suits you. Bring your own topic each time, or we can take one of my courses and work through it a lesson at a time, in whatever order actually helps you, and you can stop the moment you have got what you came for.

A laptop and a topic, and for most classes that is genuinely the whole list. If you want a hands-on class where you follow along on your own machine, install whatever we settled on during the free call beforehand, because installing it together is a less-optimized use of an hour you have paid for, unless getting it installed is the thing you wanted help with.

Tell me the topic when you book, even one line is enough, and we will firm it up properly on the free 30 minute call so I know what to prepare.

Afterwards you get the recording, so you can go over the awkward parts again on your own time. I will usually send a couple of links or a short note as well if there is something specific worth reading, though I am not going to pretend that happens every single time.

One thing worth being straight about, because it saves disappointment later.

These classes are teaching. I explain, I demonstrate, I answer questions, however I do not build things inside your repo during a lesson and there is no written deliverable afterwards apart from presentation of learning sessions.

Every class includes a free 30 minute call with me first. You do not pay anything extra for it.

We use it to work out what you actually want to learn and which tool it sits in, because that varies more than you would think. Some people arrive for Claude Code, some for Codex, some for open models they want running on their own hardware, some for Kimi, some for n8n, and plenty arrive not knowing which of those they need. That last one is a perfectly good place to start and it is exactly what the call is for.

It is also where we decide whether you want to bring your own topic each time or work through one of my courses a lesson at a time.

Once that is settled I set up the class and send you the invite, and I know what to prepare.
