I was born and raised in southeast New Mexico (not "New America") and attended college at NMSU. I graduated from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law- Arizona State University in 1998 and had my first federal criminal trial in 1999 as a CJA lawyer. I have been an assistant federal public defender for the past 16 years. I am uniquely qualified to teach because I know what practical and technical skills are required to zealously defend federal cases.
