Authority Letters: Write Once, Build Authority That Lasts

Ellen Donnelly

Coach to Authority Entrepreneurs

Turn your expertise into recognition, referrals and inbound demand

Live cohort - spaces limited - enrol by 8th March.

Most experienced founders, coaches & consultants have depth.

  • Years of client work

  • Pattern recognition

  • Hard-won judgement.

What they often miss is a single, coherent articulation of that depth.

Their ideas live across posts, decks, voice notes, workshops and transcripts.

Clients can sense the intelligence.

But new, prospective clients struggle to 'get it' so stay hesitant or need lengthy sales processes to buy in.

Authority only grows when your thinking becomes legible.

Meaning that others can follow your reasoning from beginning to end without you in the room. When your perspective is expressed clearly enough you'll get referenced and recommend.

That's the focus inside Authority Letters.

You'll define your One Big Idea and turn it into a substantial, 2,000+ word Hero Piece.

A considered, structured articulation of how you think.

The piece you send when someone asks what you do.
The writing referenced in discovery calls.
And a foundation around which all your content & offers can orbit.

After four weeks, you leave with more than a published essay.

You'll have a clear professional stance and centre of gravity for your work that compounds over time.

What you’ll learn

You'll make your depth of professional experience tangible. So that your best clients will pay your top rates, without hesitation.

  • You’ll leave with a clear, ownable One Big Idea aka a point of view strong enough to anchor your positioning, content and services.

  • Your beliefs won’t feel scattered but organised, cohesive and memorable.

  • You’ll refine it with structured support and direct feedback from Ellen before you ever begin writing.

  • Write and publish a 2,000+ word Hero Piece through live co-writing sessions and structured guidance

  • Shape a clear, compelling articulation of your thinking using the HeroPiece Bot and 20-point framework

  • Attend live co-writing sessions with peers to get the writing done and sound board if you get stuck

  • You’ll receive direct, strategic feedback on your Hero Piece, pushing it beyond “good” into precise, compelling and distinct.

  • You’ll revise with clarity and precision, escaping the echo chamber of your own 'is this clear, or is this enoughness'

  • And you’ll leave knowing your ideas hold up under scrutiny, thanks to Ellen and your peers' input along the way

  • No posting into the voice. You'll share your Hero Piece using a 5-step distribution method designed to attract the right kind of attention.

  • A decision on where to publish (Substack, WordPress, etc.) and pros of cons of each

  • Learn how to make your Hero Piece discoverable by both humans, SEO and AIO

Testimonials

  • Authority Letters has got me thinking deeply about what I stand for, my approach to the education I deliver, and the different perspectives that surround my topic. Ellen's take on what it means to build authority today has totally transformed the way I think about how I show up online. I'm so pleased I chose to do this!

  • I have loved being part of Authority Letters. The content is so helpful but the best bit is the accountability and community. If you have lots of big ideas but struggle to put pen to paper in a consistent and strategic way, Authority Letters is for you. It was exactly what I needed!

  • Most of the time I'm too busy doing the work to think about why I do the work. Authority Letters has given me an opportunity to properly consider how I do things and what my beliefs are, and distill that into something that (hopefully) will connect with other people. The process and frameworks have been so useful in clarifying my thinking, and I'm already finding key themes and phrases coming up in conversations with clients.

  • Authority Letters has my brain ON FIRE. I've been really in my head about my positioning, but working through my OBI and how I want to present my Hero Piece has me thinking about and around my topic and my business in so many different ways. Ellen's prompts and examples have really helped me to consider different perspectives. I also loved the co-working sessions! So glad I invested in myself.

  • Authority Letters shaped the depth of my behind- the-scenes work into clear, resonant knowledge in public, at a time when I needed to collect and expand my ideas after a few years in my business, continue attracting aligned clients and collaborations, and do it in a way that didn’t drain my energy through short-form content. Ellen’s guidance has enough depth to be powerful and enough punch to be applied fast. This space helps you build trust, build momentum, and shift your posture — all the way down to the words you choose for an email, a proposal, or a conversation. The authority ripple effect feels real.

  • Having just finished a year of research, I joined Authority Letters to build my commercial framing of it. It ended up being better than I expected! Ellen's feedback really sharpened and helped develop my Hero Piece. Defining my OBI gave me confidence that what I had to say would truly resonate. I loved the group aspect, too. Being in a space with thoughtful, creative, values led people who you think are amazing and then realising they have the same doubts you do, was actually very grounding for me. I have a block about putting myself out there online, and Authority Letters gave me both the accountability and the confidence to actually do it.
