Caroline Wong teaches security leaders to regulate stress
I've spent more than 20 years in security leadership, at Zynga, Cobalt, Teradata, and now as Chief Strategy Officer at Axari. I wrote The AI Cybersecurity Handbook and Security Metrics: A Beginner's Guide, I host the Humans of InfoSec podcast, and I teach on LinkedIn Learning.
I'm sober, a mom, and a competitive jiu-jitsu athlete. For years I tried to managed overwhelming mental and emotional pressure in my head, and my body stayed stuck in stress mode.
Then I found somatic exercises - small, slow movements that help the body come back down after stress. I'm working toward my certification as a somatic exercise teacher. I'm not a therapist or a doctor. I teach this practice to security leaders because I know the pressure firsthand, and because it's what worked for me.
