I'm a federated learning researcher at UNSW. I help organisations train AI together without sharing their data. I've built and tested federated learning systems for real-world healthcare settings, so I know what papers and tutorials skip: messy data, uneven sites, and the practical steps between a working notebook and a working deployment. My research on vertical and combined federated learning is published in peer-reviewed journals, including Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence. I also make visual FL explainers on YouTube and teach a hands-on FL coding course on Udemy. I teach FL the way I learned it: intuition first, then real code, then real deployment.
