What's inside

AI decisions stall for a boring reason: the person who has to approve the spend can't see what it costs or what could go wrong, and the person asking keeps explaining how the technology works instead. This is the eight-part template I use for a brief that fits on one page: the job in one sentence, what it costs today, what it would cost with AI at the rung you're proposing, what changes, the tradeoff in plain language, what's still untested, the recommendation with a budget cap and a review date, and the one thing you need from them. Each part has a worked example beside it, drawn from a real operations workflow, so you can see what a good answer looks like before you write yours. It's the brief we build live in the leadership lesson and fill in for your own workflow in the one-day workshop.
