Principal Engineering Manager | Energizing people and delivering results

After starting in tech at Amazon, I moved around jobs, and the country, as a SQL engineer, before settling into a longer work stint at Microsoft. Within Microsoft, I’ve tried out roles ranging from operations, project management, back to engineering, and most recently as an engineering manager. Over the last couple of years, I’ve been working on generative AI features, so I also have insight into succeeding in the incredibly fast-moving world of working on building AI features.

All of that to say: I’ve got experience across companies, teams, and roles, and have firsthand knowledge of what works (and doesn’t work!) when it comes to growing a career. I’ve also got lots of experience trying to fit in to the status quo vs confidently showing up as my authentic self, and the difference leaning into my strengths has made.

Senior Director of Program Management | Bringing order to chaos

I'm a people leader that brings organization to chaos. I've spent 15+ years gaining experience at companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Kaiser Permanente, and Thomson Reuters, as well as in government and academia. I know how to tackle tough problems and lead teams to success. I have a knack for strategic planning and have led the turnaround of a $XXM product line, scaled global programs, and implemented automated solutions to drive efficiency.

I spent 10 years working in restaurants and waiting tables through high school, college and law school. I started my corporate career as an accountant, became a lawyer and adjunct law professor, and later pivoted into technology. Previous roles and experience have spanned across customer experience, legal and risk, accounting and finance, program management, product management and operations, data analytics, process improvement, and digital marketing and content. I've learned a lot of lessons the hard way as I've pivoted roles and jumped companies.

As someone who loves to learn and try new things, I share my passion for building new skills and gaining knowledge with others through teaching and development. In my current role at Microsoft, I'm focused on helping my program management teams adopt and leverage AI as we transform the way our business handles strategy, planning, and delivery.
