I’m an engineering leader and coach with 15+ years of management experience at companies like Meta, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. Over my career I’ve led teams across product engineering, infrastructure, and internal platforms, and have helped many engineers transition into management for the first time. I’ve seen firsthand how difficult the shift from IC to manager can be, and how little guidance most companies provide. I created this lesson to share the frameworks I wish every new engineering manager had in their first 90 days so they can build strong relationships, navigate their organization, and lead their teams with confidence.
