What you'll learn

The 5-Step Translation Framework

Turn learning science into product requirements your engineers can build or your vendors must deliver.

Live Demo: Spaced Repetition → Product Spec

Watch me translate spaced repetition into a feature spec, from simple implementation to AI-enhanced personalization.

The AI Reality Check

Evaluate any AI-powered learning claim using the Learning Science Audit to spot real innovation vs. marketing hype.

Why this topic matters

Most EdTech products fail because there's a gap between learning science and product execution. Educators have learning expertise but can't translate it into buildable features. Founders have engineering teams but don't know which features actually support learning outcomes. This framework bridges both sides. You'll walk away with a practical tool you can use Monday morning to spec your first f

Ilkem Kayican Dipcin

15+ yrs in Learning Design, Founder at inspAIre

For 15+ years, İlkem has designed learning experiences at scale, from managing 50+ learning specialists at Sabancı University to consulting with Fortune 500 companies like Stellantis, TOFAŞ, and Franklin Covey. She’s trained hundreds of professionals on AI and learning design, earning recognition like EAQUALS Teacher of the Year 2023. In 2025, she published "AI for Corporate Professionals" on Neo Skola (Turkey’s leading corporate learning platform), a course completed by thousands of employees across major companies. She has also completed specialized programs such as AI-Powered Learning Science and Ethics, Technology, and Public Policy via Stanford Online. Recently, she founded InspAIre, an AI-powered instructional design platform, and relocated to Utrecht, Netherlands, to build it full-time.

She’s leading this Lightning Lesson because she sees the same gap everywhere: educators have great ideas but can’t turn them into products, and founders build products without understanding learning science. This framework bridges both.
