For a little over a decade, I have consulted with dozens of companies as a Sr Technical Recruiter, Lead, or Technical Talent Acquisition Manager. I actually had no idea recruiting was a "thing" when I fell into it, but in the midst of recruiting top technical talent, I also interviewed hundreds of Recruiters for Technical Recruiter positions and I was amazed with the stories of how they got there. There really was no school for this! When I "stumbled" into technical recruiting as a College Admissions Recruiter I gained a $60,000 pay increase that year and I never looked back. I had no degree, no technical knowledge, and no prior recruiting experience in talent acquisition. However, I was still making six figures consistently, and I have worked from home 100% for 10 years.

Making a career change can feel like sailing in unchartered waters without a map.
