Course overview
The creator of the course, Susan M. Barber, worked in sales, supply chain and foodservice roles as well as spent over half of her career in IT at Kraft Heinz. Her IT leadership experience included roles leading global master data programs, leading hosting, network and end user computing, supplier relationship management and IT customer service operations.
Although Susan was considered a top talent in her IT roles, she struggled with impostor syndrome which kept her from being more visible. She had to learn how to be visible without bragging so she could be authentic for herself and her team. She wrote The Visibility Factor book based on her own experiences and learnings as well as those of her clients.
For decades people have believed that working hard is enough to get them promoted. The truth is leaders need to create visibility for themselves and their teams to get those opportunities. You need the kind of visibility that allows people to see your value and is authentic to who you are. The Visibility Factor was written as a guide to shape the visibility that you want for yourself and your career.
This course is based on some of the main focus areas in the The Visibility Factor book and teaches the easy ways to achieve authentic visibility by playing to your strengths and taking consistent actions to achieve success.

Author, Podcast Host, Speaker, Certified Executive Coach, Former IT Director
Susan helps business leaders who want to find their voice, play bigger, increase their visibility and finally, shine a light on their leadership strengths so they can elevate their position in the workplace. She brings strong business knowledge to her coaching from 25+ years of experience at Kraft Heinz where she successfully held multiple leadership roles in Sales, Supply Chain and Information Technology. She started her own coaching and consulting company shortly after leaving Kraft Heinz in 2015 so that she could marry her love of people development and her passion for helping companies solve business challenges.
In her book, The Visibility Factor and on her podcast by the same name, she shares stories, actionable advice, and an easy-to-follow process for readers to create authentic visibility for themselves. Publishers Weekly calls The Visibility Factor: “A clear-eyed persuasive, and encouraging guide to standing out for the better as a leader within a company.” The book is helping her create a visibility movement for leaders to show their value and be seen for their true talent.
