More companies are creating dedicated AI PM roles. The share of companies with at least one “AI” Product Manager has grown steadily since 2022, accelerating in 2025 as AI moved from experimentation to core product strategy. Lenny Rachitsky’s 2026 Product Job Market report found demand for AI PMs is up 465%.

Product Design hiring is declining
