Defining Success: Establishing business, product and user goals

DESIGN

How is design for conversational UXs different from traditional/digital UX design? We'll cover:

Understanding User Considerations and defining user value and insights.
The Key Design Principles for conversational AI experiences
How to Communicate and iterate with stakeholders
Develop your Custom Toolkit to design and build products users love.

I am a Product and UX Design Leader and work at the intersection of human-centered design and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Augmented Reality and Conversational AI.

I have 15+ years of experience in helping startups (unicorn AI startups like Sentient Technologies) and large organizations such as Amazon, Google and Samsung achieve Product-User Fit.

I have taught Design Thinking at Stanford University, corporate workshops and social impact schools around the world. I am a design mentor at First Round Capital and I mentor startups and Product/Design professionals.

I have spent over 20 years working hands-on delivering cutting-edge technology solutions for some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies, first as a software engineer and later as a business leader. In my role as a Principal Product Manager (Technical) with Alexa AI, I led the development and launch of the first AI-generated responses on Alexa, using the same underlying transformer models that drive GPT-3 and ChatGPT.

I'm also the founder of AI Career Boost, the world’s first AI-focused career accelerator for women, aiming to decrease the gender gap in AI leadership. I'm part of the Futurist Think Tank where I work with clients on foresight and technology projects. Though I hail from Canada, these days you'll find me in Bellingham, WA.
