Cohort-based Course

Leading or managing change? Do you have the skills to really engage and motivate through uncertainty?

Course overview

Are you prepared to lead with confidence in an agile world?

It's tough. Change is constant and far from linear. Teams are often stretched, stressed and distracted. How do we cut through to land our message? Where do we focus attention? How do we increase engagement and motivation? What about productivity? And, if that was not enough, how do we maintain our own energy in the middle of all this?

Leading change can be overwhelming and often, lonely. Technical skills do not always equip us with the people know-how to navigate change effectively. Success often hinges on how we engage, motivate and empower those around us. For that, we need an updated playbook.

This course delivers exactly that. You will learn how to unlock your emotional, social and attentional intelligence, how to embed powerful habits for effective change, and how to power-up team resilience and productivity, plus much more. Ready to shake up and shake down your change leadership practice? I look forward to seeing you there.

This course is for those who want to:

Construct your personal change playbook, collaborating with cohort peers and resources available. Define the habits and practices you will introduce, powering up your change leadership for impactful, successful change.

What people are saying

The programme has been invaluable for me. It has given me tools to assess how change ready our departments are and how change ready I am! It has introduced me to neuroscience, and how the brain processes change.

I found it very helpful to understand that there are circumstances in which people will usually be resistant to change, how to identify them and what to do to change that using different theories. Very helpful for any organisation wishing to upskill their leaders in managing others through change

Leadership has for many years been viewed as an advanced form of management. Robust management skills are part of it but certainly not enough to excel in a fast-changing world.

In my 25+ years of working in communication and engagement, and the latter 10 years supporting Brain-Friendly Change among 100's of leaders across different industries, one thing is clear; the leaders that thrive through change, connect on a human level. They know how to create trusting environments conducive to high performance and wellbeing. In addition, they know their boundaries and respect the boundaries of others.

This course brings the latest knowledge from the behavioural sciences to you. More importantly, you will learn the techniques and steps to successfully apply the learning day-to-day. You will develop your own change playbook, for practical application and impact within a changing business environment.

Deborah is a Fellow of the Institute of Internal Communication, sits on the Governing Committee for the International Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD) Roundtable, headquartered in India and is also an Honorary Member of Della Leaders Club (DLC) having been invited to sit on the Global Leadership & Transformation Committee. She has spent the last 10 years specifically studying the neuroscience of leadership and its practical application within business.

Course syllabus

01

Create resilience and thrive

It all starts with you. Stressed, inconsistent ways of working do not deliver fluid change. Self-care, clear boundaries and clarity of purpose shape progress.

Reflecting on your personal impact and how you model the way, you will examine stress boundaries, the role of emotional contagion and how to build resilience over time.

02

Craft engaging ways of working

It's difficult to be productive when disengaged. Understand what really drives engagement and why cognitive capacity is so significant when planning change activity.

Learn how the brain works during change and plan activity using science backed frameworks for maximum influence.

03

Continue a culture of high performance

Sustainable high performance insists on a healthy team culture. A balanced combination of good governance and big heart. A safe space where teams can challenge, collaborate and thrive.

The course workbook is packed with tools, models and references for you to explore and experiment with, as you develop your own personal change leadership roadmap.
