This course covers psychology concepts that I wish I had learned much earlier in life, including principles from therapy modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) -- all explained through software development metaphors.

Casey Watts is the author of Debugging Your Brain (DYB), a clear applied psychology book and a concise self-help book. His book brings together two of his backgrounds: psychology and software development.
Casey studied neurobiology at Yale University, and he is a co-author on several neurobiology papers.
He has also worked in software development for 10 years, in many roles: Product Manager, Engineering Manager, UX Researcher, and Engineer. Casey is an active member of the DC Tech and Baltimore Tech communities.

We'll have as much hands-on learning as we can in this slot -- exercises and discussions in pairs/trios. There will also be lecture/Q&A in each session, for framing.
