After this class you will be able to:

Make perfect sushi rice and gomasio

This is the base of every delicious roll! To top off each bite, we'll whip up a batch of homemade toasted sesame gomasio, one of the best flavor enhancers ever created.

Prep flavorful fillings

I will share my tips and recipes for baked elements like crispy tofu, asparagus, and mushrooms and how to prep fresh carrots, cabbage, avocado, and herbs. Less time, less mess, more flavor!

Roll, slice, and serve like a pro

This is THE determining factor in making good sushi and summer rolls. Learn the tips and tricks I've accumulated over 10+ years of making them for clients, parties, and at home.

Make the tastiest sauces

Rolls are meant to be dipped and smothered. Savoring every morsel this way is the reward for your work. You will learn how to make savory vegan "eel" sauce (no eel, ever!) and creamy cashew chili sauce (or peanut or pumpkin seed!)

For the past decade, I have taught public and private cooking classes for individuals, corporations, and organizations (from Google to NOAA) while also building a thriving (entirely vegan) personal chef service here in Seattle, Washington.


My background in the arts and teaching, interest in animal welfare, and passion for travel and cooking were the seeds that started Fire and Earth Kitchen in 2012.


After teaching hundreds of classes and cooking thousands of vegan meals for discerning palates, I have accumulated a wellspring of practical knowledge that can help turn your desire for a healthier, more compassionate life into reality.
