Cohort-based Course

During this 4-week cohort course, you'll learn how to create visual languages that stand out from the crowd.

Course overview

What's the course about?

As designers, we often spend the majority of our time on research, wireframing and solving problems. This can result in design that works and is technically correct, but lacks ‘soul’ (Or 'pop' as some call it... 😅)

With this course you’ll learn how to elevate your work by creating timeless, stellar visual languages for brand, marketing, product, web and other design projects!

The 4-week course includes

✦ Video instructions

✦ Bite-sized theory and exercises

✦ Live office hours

✦ Feedback rounds

✦ Community chat & support

✦ Template files

In short, 'Become a visual trendsetter' is a complete framework on ideating, creating and maintaining visual languages. You'll learn how to use and master this framework during a 4 week online bootcamp together with other designers. After the course, you'll unlock all of the templates and files, so you can apply the framework for future design projects.

Can't wait to see you in class! 👋

Course syllabus

01

Foundation

With every stellar visual language comes a strong conceptual base. During the first part of this course we'll take a look at how to approach foundations like this and apply this framework to your own (fictional) project.

02

Define and create your own style

Now that we know the our deeper motivations for the project, it's time to start applying this to our own (fictional project)

03

Dissecting top notch visual languages

Let's take a look at some strong examples of visual language. Why are they good? How are they executed? During this second part of the course we'll learn through observing and recreation.

04

Apply your identity

In this part of the course, we'll take a look at our newly created identity and see how we can successfully scale this across different mediums like products, marketing, socials and more.

05

Maintain and evolve

As designers, we know that our designs are never done. The same goes for visual languages. In this last part of the course we'll take a look at how to evolve and maintain, while keeping our foundation and consistency intact.
