Course overview

Prompt engineering involves the strategic design of inputs, known as prompts, to steer AI models toward desired outputs or behaviors. This technique can be highly effective in achieving specific results; however, it may also impose limitations. Concentrating on minor modifications to linear inputs might cause you to miss opportunities to explore more innovative solutions or gain new insights.

Conversely, creative frameworks encourage humans to ask divergent questions and think laterally. Generative AI can supply an abundance of corresponding responses that can spark the exploration of less obvious avenues. Humans must then discern which ideas are worthy of pursuit by more deeply exploring the potential paths to realizing them. Rather than passively waiting for random suggestions, the human collaborator actively harnesses structured creative methods. Each new angle that AI offers can feed additional prompts, forming a feedback loop of quickly tested possibilities. This iterative momentum is difficult to achieve through prompt engineering, where it’s easier to fall prey to personal biases or constrain yourself to a single approach to problem-solving.

Emotional Regulation Matrix

Balanced emotional management helps increase creative capacity by creating an inner sense of calm and resilience, making it easier to stay curious and maintain a problem-solving focus. For instance, frustration and fear often lead to a defensive, closed-off approach, while balanced emotions support adaptability, helping one remain flexible and open to new possibilities.
