First Session: Introduction and Game Elements

<ul><li>You'll learn how to craft your game's mechanics</li><li>You'll learn how to use AI as an assistant to brainstorm your game's learning objectives and elements</li></ul>

Second Session: Game Mechanics

<ul><li>You'll learn what makes a great story</li><li>You'll craft your game's story using ChatGPT </li><li>You'll design your game's world and assets using tools like Skybox Lab</li><li>You'll add interactivity to the gameplay</li></ul>

Third Session: Story and Aesthetics

<ul><li>You'll learn how to use Gaminar.net to add teams, leaderboards, and time constraints to your game</li><li>You'll put together all your game's assets and launch a first version of your game</li></ul>

Fourth Session: Technology

You can optionally join Office Hours to ask questions, polish your game's elements, and receive feedback.

OPTIONAL: Office Hours

<ul><li>You'll do a soft launch of your game and will receive feedback from other players</li><li>You'll learn the 3 ways to facilitate an effective debrief to make learning long-lasting</li><li>We'll celebrate that you're now a game designer! </li></ul>

Fifth Session: Playtesting and Graduation

Course syllabus

The internet is full of content. But content is a commodity. By turning it into a learning game, participants immerse themselves in a scenario, they explore and learn by doing, and they get feedback as they progress.

You'll have access to templates, examples, and swipe files for you to download and use (that will save you hours of work in the future)

Everything on this course is project-based. There's no use of having the theory if you don't put it into practice.
