Course overview

This course is not about "once upon a time" or "happily ever after."

This is about inviting more of what you want into the world — through story.

Stories give us new ways of understanding the world and our place within it. And when we’re brave enough to share personal stories that expose our flaws and struggles and humanity, we open ourselves up for deep and powerful human connection. The kinds of connection that can lead to new careers, better relationships, and realized dreams.

Ever since I was an executive speechwriter at Apple, I’ve been developing and refining techniques for unearthing personal stories that can be strategically used. The methods I’m sharing here *for the first time* are those that I personally use for myself and my clients. And they're part of a simple, repeatable process you can use to great effect over and over again.

Anita Stubenrauch

Anita worked her way from Apple Retail store employee to executive speechwriter over a 13-year career, designing presentations given to Steve Jobs, authoring Apple’s Credo, and speechwriting for Angela Ahrendts along the way. Today she's running Cause:Effect Creative, a branding agency that expresses visionary ideas with poetic power. She’s also building The Land of Make and Believe, a 14-acre event and retreat space bringing magical realism to a nonfiction world. And she's hosting the Hyperactive Imagination podcast, a high-voltage channel for creativity.
