  • Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning February 7, 2023

    11:30-1:00 PM EST [3 hours weekly]

    We'll meet live each week to apply your learning to real-world scenarios and to fine-tune your speech so that you feel confident and clear in your delivery.

  • Fridays: Hot Seat Sessions [Optional]

    12:00 PM -1:00 PM EST [1 hour per week]

    Join the cohort on optional Fridays to get your questions answered, work on projects, and for the chance to get coached in front of the group.

  • Pre-Session Prep

    30 Minutes to 2 Hours Weekly

    ✔︎ Prepare for each live session by working through the self-paced coursework.


    ✔︎ Play an important role in each session by bringing personalized assignments to our meetings.

Course syllabus

Exploring The Music Of The American Accent

In your first session, you'll dive into the musical components of American English through a poem so that you can apply your learning to a professional introduction of yourself with clarity and confidence.

Sounding Brave And Being Understood

In this module, you'll examine the connection between pausing and word emphasis so you can give a mini-presentation about one of your passions sounding brave and articulate.

Making The Relationship Between Rhythm And Diction

In the second week, you'll break down the rhythm and vowel sounds of American English so you can apply syllable stress accurately to the technical terms you use at work.

Adding Flow And Melody To Your Speech

In this lesson explore the Americanisms that make up the flow of American English and make melodic changes in your voice appropriately so you can apply the learning to giving a performance review.

Putting It Together By Reading & Mimicking Native Speakers

In the third week, you'll master The Diamond Method by listening to and mimicking native English speakers' presentations so you can perfect your speech without worrying about the language.

Putting It Together With Impromptu Speech

In this module, you'll test your understanding of The Diamond Method by engaging in random Q&A exercises with your peers so you can speak bravely while thinking on your feet.

07

Preparing Your Presentation With The Scripting Technique

You'll start the final week of your program dissecting a presentation technique called scripting so you can deliver a clear and confident speech with the help of useful notes.

08

Presentations & Graduation Day

You'll complete your training by giving a final presentation to your peers so you can showcase your newfound communication skills. Then, we'll celebrate your accomplishments during our graduation ceremony.
