Dr. Rinki Varindani Desai

Dr. Rinki Varindani Desai

Rinki Desai, SLPD, CCC-SLP, BCS-S is a medical speech-language pathologist, board-certified swallowing disorders specialist, edtech entrepreneur, and healthtech consultant, with over 15 years of clinical experience across healthcare settings. She is the founder of Theratactix, a digital health consulting firm, and co-founder of the Swallowing Training and Education Portal (STEP), an e-learning platform that has empowered thousands of clinicians worldwide.


At the MGH Institute of Health Professions, Dr. Desai serves as a research associate and lecturer, focusing on interprofessional clinical education and digital health innovation. She also serves as Program Innovation Lead at The Babel Group, where she develops programs that help clinicians expand into consulting, leadership, and entrepreneurial roles. Dr. Desai has founded the Medical SLP Forum, co-created the Dysphagia Therapy app, and co-leads the Bitelabs Digital Health, AI, and Innovation Fellowship — all of which reflect her deep commitment to empowering clinicians through collaboration, education, and innovation. Through her work, she blends clinical expertise tech-enabled solutions that enhance clinician effectiveness, improve patient outcomes, and advance the digital transformation of healthcare.

Rachel Khasky-Levy, SLPD, CCC-SLP, is the CEO and co-founder of The Babel Group. With over 18 years of clinical experience, she brings together deep therapeutic knowledge and a passion for innovation to bridge clinical practice and technology. Her work focuses on empowering therapists with inclusive tools that transform care delivery and expand access to meaningful, person-centered healthcare.
