Course overview
Studies show GenAI can help you be faster, better, and excited about anything you do, and I'd like to show you how.
I teach executive decision-making, creativity, and innovation for Modal Learning, a premier enterprise upskilling company. Generative AI has been at the core of that curriculum for the past year. Now, thanks to Modal, I'm able to share this one-hour mini-course, The Generative AI Growth Mindset, for the benefit of charity.
The Generative AI Growth mindset is about the practical art and science of using GenAI at work, home, and play. We'll explore:
1️⃣ Why GenAI may be underhyped, not overhyped, and why it should matter to you
2️⃣ How to use GenAI for everyday tasks, critical thinking, and creative communication
3️⃣ How to get the most out of GenAI tools like Bing, Midjourney or RunwayML
AI is a crafty, creative, efficient co-creator that's becoming essential to whatever you do: sales, marketing, creative work, investing, teaching, innovation, decision-making... all of these can be improved with AI.

01
Anyone who wants to learn to use GenAI at work, home, or play. 🏠
02
Professionals who want to make and share ideas more effectively 💰
03
Creatives who want to ideate, write, and formulate ideas faster, and better 🎨
I'll share and show you how I use GenAI. It's a process I call S.E.E.: Seedfinding, Experimentation, and Execution. Inspired by legendary music producer Rick Rubin, SEE is designed to generate, collect, and communicate creative ideas and insights.
It's easy and fun! This one-hour session is loaded with examples of how to use freely available tools like Bing for research, Midjourney for image creation, RunwayML for animation and Jasper for fun. We'll discuss the differences between these tools, and what they're good for.
Once you try AI, studies show you're twice as likely to use it regularly. We'll explore habits that can help make your new skills stick!

New research from MIT confirms what GenAI proponents already know: it boosts productivity and improves the quality of our work. This study challenged 444 college-educated professionals to write press releases, reports, and delicate emails. Half the group used ChatGPT, and the other half didn’t. They were incentivized to receive a top score.
The results reveal good and bad news about the relationship between humans and AI.

Learn with a cohort of peers
Cohort-style, interactive, small-group learning with hands-on projects to put ideas into action.
Interactive and project-based
You’ll interact with other learners through breakouts and project teams if you want, or, on your own if you prefer.
Built for entelechy
Entelechy, a term you'll learn in the session, is a system that helps turn learning into skills. This ancient idea from Aristotle is so rarely used today, but we'll use it not just during the course, but the system will serve you for life.
