In this one month long course, we'll get nerdy about warbling synths, retro-sounding drum machines, and how to mix them together to create songs that transport listeners to other worlds.
It's like a small, in-depth, graduate-level college seminar — but the teacher is celebrated electronic artist Com Truise. We'll do weekly Zoom calls, projects, discussions, and more.

The focus this week will be on the “Sound of the Sound” and how specific gear can inspire new song or track ideas. Com Truise will walk us through his philosophy on gear, his favorite synths, FX, and their applications. He'll take questions, demonstrate some patch making, talk about some songs, and assign the first project for the course.
Below there are some videos we recommend watching before the workshop on Wednesday. If you've taken Com Truise's course on Soundfly, you've likely already seen them, though it still may be worth watching for review!
