Future proof your career by learning how to use no-code tools
Course overview
A crash course made by a designer for designers. We inherently understand how elements and components work so this course skips the absolute fundamentals and picks up where your knowledge gaps begin.
We are still ahead of the no-code wave. By starting now you are investing in yourself with skills that will be in high demand within the next 1-2 years, as static clickable prototypes become a relic of the past.
This course will not be focused on mastering one specific tool. More no-code tools will enter the market in the coming years. The changing landscape means we should come equipped with the basic frameworks that all no-code tools operate from and to be able to navigate each one. (Think about Sketch vs Adobe XD vs Figma. They all share a basic framework with transferrable skills)
01
UX/UI practitioners who are bored of clickable wireframes in Figma and want to supercharge their prototyping skills
02
Entrepreneurs with a design background who want to build their own digital product
03
It is not for non-designers or those who want to learn a specific tool
Build using new tools in no time
With the understanding of general no-code frameworks, you'll be able to jump into any no-code tool and pick up the ropes quickly
Become a more valuable designer
Imagine being able to ship an MVPs within one sprint! With continued practice, you will be seen as a weapon in this space.
Tools to start your own business
You don't need a technical co-founder. No-code tools democratise the development process.
Tap into a network of other no-code designers
I am a big believer in cohort based courses. It's easy networking even for people who find it difficult. You'll have access to a Slack group of alumni and help each other out in your no-code journey.

Designer | Entrepreneur
To stay relevant, designers need to continuously adopt new technology. I'm bullish about the rise of no-code and how it will affect the way we work.
My creds:
New career paths will open up
No-Code Developer (or some variation) will become a common job title.
Using no-code will be a competitive advantage
Saving time, money and energy. Allowing you to build (and change) faster and cheaper than competitors.
More investors/clients will expect functional products
The cost of development is dropping and base expectations will adjust to this

01
Web 2.0 basics
Dissect the fundamentals of Web 2.0 so you can form your own tool stacks. We'll learn about the relationship between the front end UI, database and logic. As a designer myself, I use visual diagrams as much as possible to break down complex technical concepts.
02
Underlying framework of no-code tools
Examine the spectrum of no-code tools out there and how they are structured. This will give you the confidence to jump into any no-code tool and start building immediately.
03
Unlearn "best practices"
As designers we are always advocating for best practices. However these get in the way of shipping no-code prototypes efficiently. Learn from my experience what practices you should drop and how to apply your design knowledge practically
04
Ship your no-code project
Hands on sessions where we will use 3 popular tools (Airtable, Softr, Make) and publish a no-code product to practice what we have learnt.
12-15 hours per week
May 22nd - Pre-reading released
2-3 hours. Complete before 1st session.
Live sessions
Pre reading / Homework
2-3 hours between classes
To keep up with the speed of the crash course, completing the homework and reading are highly recommended
🚫 A deep dive into any specific tool
You'll be learning the common frameworks of UI, Data, and Logic tools. These act as fundamentals to speed up your learning in the sea of tools out there. But you should expect to spend additional time working with these tools to truly master them.
🚫 Using Webflow or Bubble
These tools are popular so I need to call this out. Their higher learning curve means they are not crash course friendly.
🚫 MVP strategy
These are valuable skills but we won't be touching these topics. As designers, you probably possess some knowledge in this domain already.
