Job search has fundamentally shifted.
In 2021, a senior PM or an engineering VP was so scarce and hot in the market that it took just weeks for them to find a compelling job with a top-of-market salary. In 2024, a senior PM job receives hundreds of qualified applicants, and dozens who are specifically qualified within the particular sub-industry of the company in question.
