Course overview
One of the major unlocks in product development is the ability to quickly create and test prototypes. Once you've completed generative research to uncover unmet needs, or a journey mapping exercise to identify top pain points and opportunities you then need to test ideas to solve these problems. But in the past this could be a long process where you needed to collaborate with design (and maybe engineering) to get a prototype up and running. AI changes that.
With just a few tools, anyone can now mock up prototypes, at different levels of fidelity, independently. Even better, many of these AI-generated prototypes are more interactive than mockups in Figma. That means you can get richer signals on whether an idea will actually meet customer needs.
But a prototype is only as useful as the feedback it unlocks. To learn what’s working and what needs to change, you still need to run solid concept tests with real users. That means asking the right research questions, structuring effective sessions, and interpreting results in a way that moves your product forward.
That’s what this course will teach you. How to turn hypotheses into concepts, how to prototype them fast and how to test them in ways that lead to smarter decisions.
01
UX researchers who want to build and test AI-powered concepts independently and level up their prototyping and concept testing skills.
02
Designers who want to prototype and test ideas quickly, without waiting on engineering or complex tooling.
03
Product managers who want to run fast, reliable concept tests to validate ideas and de-risk decisions before investing in delivery.
Generate product ideas ready for user feedback, fast
You’ll be able to use AI to generate diverse, high-quality ideas grounded in real user problems. You'll learn how to prioritise ideas and work with AI to articulate your ideas in a one-sentence value prop.
Define and frame the right problem before you start building
You’ll be able to structure and refine your problem statements using AI so you bring absolute clarity to what you are building and why.
Learn how to write better AI prompts to improve your innovation (and other work)
You’ll be able to craft effective prompts to extract better thinking from AI tools. You’lll leave with a library of reusable prompts and the skills to write your own.
Build prototypes (without relying on engineering)
You’ll be able to create low-fi or high-fi prototypes using AI tools so you can move fast from concept to tangible output. You’ll create at least one prototype ready to test with users.
Write a focused product brief to guide prototyping
You’ll be able to distill your idea into a clear AI-friendly product brief so you can generate more relevant, usable outputs.
Improve the usefulness of AI-generated designs
You’ll be able to review and refine AI-generated prototypes critically, so you focus on what you really want to test.
Run structured concept tests that uncover real insight
You’ll be able to scope concept testing sessions so you can evaluate whether your idea resonates and solves the right problem.
Write better research questions and discussion guides, faster
You’ll be able to use AI to co-write your discussion guide without sacrificing clarity or neutrality. Learn how to review and critique what the AI produces to elevate your results.
