In the last 4+ years, my team at The Process Mavens and I have helped dozens of fast-growing teams build employee training & operations manuals so they can scale WHILE staying a wonderful place to work. 


This work is literally all we do. And we're damned good at it.


We've developed our methods the hard way through trial and error, because this work is never the most urgent thing on your list. But it's critical if you want to scale your impact.


I built this course so small business owners can skip the "figuring it out" part of documenting processes and GET. IT. DONE.


I hold a masters degree in Instructional Design from Arizona State University and have spent my career teaching in classrooms, leading edtech curriculum projects, and streamlining and automating workflow processes.

I was one of the first 8 Trainual Certified Consultants (affiliate link) in 2018, and a recipient of altMBA's Kopp Award for “generosity in helping others.”

Course syllabus

Align Your Roles

If you're not clear on all the roles in your business, neither is your team! Using our template, you'll define exactly how each role drives results in your business and determine who sits in which role so everyone can get clear on how they fit into the bigger mission!

Define Responsibilities

When everyone in your business knows which responsibilities belong to them, you can feel at ease that nothing will get dropped. In this module, you'll collect and organize all of the key responsibilities that keep your business running, including your own!

Standards of Excellence

You know exactly how you want things done in your business, but if you want to scale, you have to teach others to meet your level of excellence. In this module, you'll develop Standards of Excellence for your most critical employee responsibilities so you'll have peace of mind that your employees know how to do things the right way

Work Instructions

You do NOT need to write SOPs or process steps to have an Operations Manual! In this module, you'll learn our no-frills process for capturing and cataloging the "how-to's" for your most essential tasks. (All without writing a single SOP!)

Get Ready to Launch

You can write down all the things, but if your team never actually uses it, then what was the point? In this module, you'll create a communication plan for launching your V1 Ops Manual with your team and make a plan for what's to come in version 2!

Course schedule

4-6 hours per week for 2 weeks
  • Mondays & Wednesdays - LIVE Workshops

    8am - 9am Pacific

    Join us for our live workshops where we'll guide you through every step of the process to document your business.

  • Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays - OPTIONAL

    8am - 9am Pacific

    Join us for an OPTIONAL co-working session to get your questions answered and your projects DONE!

  • Weekly projects (Can be completed DURING Co-Working Sessions)

    Plan 2+ hrs/week

    In order to get your V1 Operations Manual published and shared to your team, you'll need to put in a few hours during the week to complete your projects on your own.


    NOTE: This course is fluff-free - every project is a step towards your completed operations manual.
