What’s an outcome?
Most people think it’s okay to track outputs with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), but actually, that’s why many implementations fail. We’ll break down the difference between outcomes and outputs. You will be clear on why this definition is one of the most important things your organisation needs to know.
02
Facilitating workshops that create winning goals
If you want your teams to have a sense of ownership of their goals, you need to engage them in the setting. The best OKRs come from a diverse range of voices. You’ll learn how to engage all styles of contributors, not just the loudest. You will practise techniques that help teams go from output to outcomes thinking.
03
Identifying High Value Metrics
OKRs use metrics to measure progress towards an objective. We will explore leading, lagging and proxy metrics and how to identify the metrics you need. You will work through case studies and practise creating metrics in various practical exercises.
04
Creating the context for continued success
We will talk about keeping goals front and centre. You will define a pilot approach to allow you to learn how they’ll work in your context. We will examine the capabilities your organisation needs to improve to make OKRs a success.
05
Engaging Check-in
Much of the literature and discourse about OKRs focuses on setting them. We will discuss why the heart of the framework is the periodic review. You will learn why 'set and forget' is your biggest enemy.
