Cohort-based Course

Master the practical tools your coaching certification didn't teach you about confidently building your business.

Course overview

Being a great coach doesn't guarantee you'll create a successful business

Most coaching certifications gloss over the mindsets and practical tools you'll need to get out of bed every day with the focus, confidence and clarity to make your business thrive.

This challenging 2-week interactive course will teach you how to:

💡 Create a business that works for you (and not fall into the trap of you working for it!).

🏆 Define your ideal client to increase your chances of winning and retaining the right work for you.

💰 Facilitate confident business development conversations that lead directly to signed contracts.

✏️ Create habits that sustain you and your business over the long term.

This course is for you if...you're up and running but not quite humming

01

You're coaching - but not working for yourself yet. You're not sure if you have the confidence to go out on your own.

02

You've done your coaching accreditation. You've launched your business. You're working hard but you're not getting enough clients.

03

You're out their pitching your services but would love to feel more confident in your product and your pricing.

What you’ll get out of this course

The stuff that gets you through the toughest days

Running a business on your own is brilliant. It's also tough. Being crystal clear about your why and your how really helps on the hard days when you don't feel like getting out of your pyjamas

A package you can confidently and credibly take to clients

Many new coaches think they can coach anyone. I used to be one of them! Now I know better. Clients want to know that you're unique personality, skills, & passions match their needs. You'll build an "ideal client" profile and design a product-price offering to match

A new love for sales & business development

OK, maybe that's a stretch. If you're someone who thinks "I hate selling" or "I don't know how to do BD", don't worry! I'll show you how to use your curiosity and people skills to successfully sell yourself and your coaching services.

The habits and templates to keep you and your business on track

When you're starting out, it's tough to figure out how to assign your time. What should you be doing? What's the stuff that really makes a difference? You'll create a personalised effort plan and customise proven templates to plan and track your progress efficiently.

What people are saying

Not only was Mel an amazing leader through the course, but the content is so incredibly helpful! As someone who is still building their coaching business, it was great to get Mel's insight from her decades of experience. I highly recommend to anyone that has a coaching practice or is starting their practice.

The content covers the elements we often don't go deep enough into. It raised some important questions for me, which is a great sign I am getting value. I'd highly recommend it for anyone who is either new to coaching or even a few years into it and thinking to themselves, "it could be better, what am I missing?" Well worth the investment.

This course motivated me to put some time into getting my pricing, business development funnel and offering right. A little bit of effort there resulted in me being able to spend more time and energy focusing on my clients’s needs and doing great work for them. Great for coaches and any independent professional.

I look for educators with two qualities, lived experience and a clear desire to improve the lives of their students. Mel has both in spades. Hard recommend.

The most valuable part was the thoughtful and insightful lessons shared with us. And the opportunity to reflect on how we might use this information. And focusing on working out my 'why'

Course Syllabus

01

Module 1: Create clarity of purpose

Success boils down to whether you can get clients to trust you - and they wont trust you if they don't understand you. Being able to explain your "why" is critical. We'll ensure your purpose and coaching brand (what you stand for, not your logo) are crystal clear to help you stay focused and create the basis for strong client relationships.

02

Module 2: Identify your ideal clients and your product

Knowing your ideal client matters. Restricting your market will probably feel unnatural - but if you target everyone, you're talking to no one. You'll be guided through a process to define your ideal client and design your product and pricing to match.

03

Module 3: Facilitate great BD conversations

Build the confidence you need to successfully sell your coaching programs. Understand how to make the mindset shift from "I hate selling" to "How could I help solve this problem?". Identify your pipeline and close more sales.

04

Module 4: Measure what matters

We talk to clients all the time about planning, reflecting and learning. This module is designed to help us take some of our own medicine! Use proven, practical templates to generate critical insights to guide your business decision-making.
