Cohort-based Course

Uplevel your skills as a changemaker, integrating the power and wisdom of systems thinking, prototyping, and futuristic storytelling.

Course overview

Let's Change the World!

Your idea or change initiative matters, but changing the world can be lonely and hard. Whether you're a senior leader or a brand-new changemaker, learn the tools and techniques used at Stanford and the White House to shift scaled systems and make the world a better place for all.

Who is this course for

01

Community leaders and changemakers who want to build a better world without burning themselves and their teams out via 'hustle'.

02

Underrepresented change leaders building context, coalitions, and x-sector networks to power the larger-scale systems shifts they seek.

03

Passionate program managers & builders across industries who want to branch out beyond their day job & learn to directly make social impact.

What you’ll get out of this course

Skills in Systems Thinking and Prototype Thinking you can apply to complex problems - large and small

Learn the three classes of problems (simple, complicated complex) and how world-class changemakers use Systems Thinking and Prototyping to wisely navigate social problems that others see as intractable. You'll start to view impossible problems as immediately possible to address.

Meet others who are building their systems thinking & prototype thinking practice for real change

Build your network across sectors and issue areas, connecting with new friends and colleagues who are working with the same tools and language of systems and prototypes! Cheer each other on and expedite each other's transformations - outside of our usual siloes.

Make progress on a change initiative you care about

Bring in a project or a wish you're advancing for the world, and make real progress. Learn to tell your story in a way that resonates with people and a powerful way to reset when your initiative hits challenging roadblocks.

Start to see the big picture: How change initiatives from across different issue areas connect & intersect

No change happens in a silo. Studying change alongside classmates from other industries and issue areas will grant you new friends and context for issues and storylines that affect your work too - both directly and indirectly. You'll leave with a bigger picture.

What people are saying

Systems Thinking is a powerful lens for looking at the world in a way where the things I care about most become possible. I never believed in myself to tackle large problems before this course. Now I see I can make a real difference, right from where I am.
