Cohort-based Course

Take better decisions backed by data. Using a simple 5-step framework.

Course overview

Decisions based on gut feeling are a thing of the past.

πŸ§‘β€πŸ« Learn a straightforward 5-step decision science process designed in the real world.

πŸš€ Combine this framework, SQL and your analysis skills to effectively answer questions and delight stakeholders.

πŸ’‘ Engage with peers from different backgrounds in our live workshops, access templates and resources and bring your own data to get valuable feedback.

Is this course for you?

01

You're an analyst who wants to become great at answering questions. You have a good understanding of SQL or are actively learning it.

02

Stakeholders send you questions regularly and you're constantly trying to challenge them.

03

You're sick of spending hours working on simple reports and want to do deep analytical work instead.

What you'll learn

Analysts don't usually help take decisions, but they should.

Not only will you learn about Prime Route, my 5-step Decision Science framework developed within the last several years, but also the background behind good decisions and how to help your stakeholders take better decisions.

Figure out the important stuff.

You'll learn all about enabling stakeholders (and you!) to design better hypotheses. After all, a decision starts with a belief statement we want to test!

Data insights are more impactful when reached collaboratively.

Slipping off into the depths of darkness for your analysis doesn't yield good results. With a proven lean process that involves stakeholders during the analysis stages, you'll be answering questions in hours, not days.

A little bit about me

Matthew Brandt (Matty)

Matthew Brandt (Matty)

I make data taste better.

What does that mean?

It means that like raw food, data requires careful planning and execution to deliver an exceptional dish (outcome). I guess that makes me a chef? πŸ§‘β€πŸ³

In all seriousness: I enable others to use data to make the best decisions by flexing my broad expertise in data analytics. Since over 10 years I've helped design tracking concepts, create databases, build data products and lead endless analysis meetings about what colour the sign up button should be. 😜

My dayjob for a Swiss corporate startup in digital health occupies me full-time. I also teach at the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWZ) and University of St. Gallen (HSG), and I'm a prolific content creator livestreaming on Twitch and producing YouTube videos.

Seeing others succeed is what fuels me to keep going. I'm excited to combine my unique experience in data analytics and live-learning for my first-ever cohort and sharing it with you!

What others say about me

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Matty is an absolutely world-class data educator. Whether you're looking to dive deep into technical SQL concepts or expand your understanding of soft skills & frameworks, he approaches every lesson conversationally. If you want to learn from an educator who will inspire you and talk to you like a friend the whole way, Matty is your person.

Not only is he a talented technical analyst, but he is also a gifted communicator, which is so crucial in this field - not only can he tell you *what* happened, but why it happened, and why it matters.

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Matty is one of the few people who manages to bridge the gap between knowing and doing in a both practical and educational way. I have never attended anything from his hand, where I didn't leave a little smarter. It's kind of strange but for a decision-science cohort, joining is kind of a no-brainer.

Accessible Pricing

Accessible Pricing

Everyone should be able to afford this course!

Where you live shouldn't dictate what type of information you have access to. For this course, I have used a tool to calculate a discount based on how much things cost relative to income, in a framework called Purchasing Power Parity (PPP).

PPP pricing is available for most countries and is based on the credit card booking origin. Discounts range between 20-70%.

As Maven currently doesn't have the technical ability to apply this automatically, please contact me before booking or afterwards to ensure you profit from this discount!
