01
You've been a PM at the same company for a long time and haven't had to interview in a while, feeling overwhelmed on how to approach it
02
You're a founder transitioning to an official product role for the first time and don't know how to structure your interviews effectively
03
You've spent days on a product case study assignment only to find out you haven't moved to the next round and don't know why
Understand what startups are looking for in product hires
Startups are looking to get clarity on your process, communication, and how you defend your case.
Examine the typical assignments given during startup product interviews
The prompts for product assignments fall into only a handful of possibilities. They will let you choose a product of your own or give you a specific product and dig into how you'd improve or grow it. For experienced PMs, they might ask about a product you've already worked on.
Build a case study utilizing a product framework and use it as a template for future interviews
You'll use a product framework to create a presentation for a common product case study given as a take-home assignment at many startups. You'll turn this into a template you can use for any similar interviews and reduce the amount of time you spend preparing for each interview.
Defend your case study with frameworks for making product decisions
You will learn frameworks for prioritization, market segmentation, validation, and measuring success. You'll prepare for common follow up questions.
Finalize your product assignment if you already have one scheduled with a startup
If you already have a product assignment interview lined up, you can use this course to work toward that particular assignment.
