Course overview

"Am I doing a good job?"

Managing people is a different job, so don’t feel bad if you feel like you don’t know what you’re doing.  Over 60% of new managers report getting no training, coaching, or support when they need it most.

If you're good at masking your worries but secretly wonder if you’re cut out for managing, this class will help.

Through the assessment and teachings, you can expect to feel more secure, self-assured, calm and confident.

Personal growth and professional development go hand in hand. Expect to increase your self-awareness in ways that will serve you at work, and beyond.

Who is this course for

01

Perfectionists who feel pressure to meet vague standards and want to clarify what success looks like.

02

High achievers who are used to feeling competent, and suddenly feel unsure of how to succeed.

03

Managers who want to lead from their values and strengths, and feel more confident in their leadership style.

What you’ll get out of this course

Identify your top strengths.

Complete an assessment, and discuss the results in class.

Define success.

"How do I know if I'm doing a good job?" Shift from insecure to confident by defining what success looks like. We'll discuss tangible/intangible and visible/invisible outcomes over time.

Clarify your values.

Investigate the values (and fears) that drive your decisions, so you can feel more grounded in ambiguity.

Feel more calm and self-assured.

Reduce the volume on the inner critic and feel less anxious, confused, and pressured. Focus on who you are being -- not just what you are doing. Look to what's within your control.

Frameworks to support you.

Learn how to use the Feelings Wheel and Cognitive Bias Codex to grow emotional intelligence, and reduce overwhelm.
